MCEC PRAYERS

Continue to pray for the family of Kendra Whitfield Ellis and Waterloo North Mennonite Church. Kendra’s funeral visitation will be held on Friday, July 26, 2024 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Waterloo North Mennonite Church, 100 Benjamin Rd., Waterloo. A celebration of life will take place at 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 27, 2024 at Floradale Mennonite Church, 22 Florapine Rd., Floradale, with light refreshments to follow. Pray for Mennonite Church Canada Witness workers, Tom and Christine Poovong, as they navigate working together with Friends of Grace network in Thailand, Mennonite Mission Network, AMBS, church leaders in Laos, and various other Mennonite entities in Thailand. Pray for wisdom, patience, and joy in seeing what God is doing around them.

Leaders from North American Vietnamese Evangelical Fellowship will be gathering in Vancouver in early August. Nguyen Thi Hong, president of Evangelical Mennonite Church Vietnam, will join the gathering. Pray for Pastors Nhien Pham and Garry Janzen, liaison workers for Mennonite Church Canada Witness, as they deepen relationships with these leaders and discern direction for working together with Mennonites in Vietnam.

Continue to pray for MyanmarUkraine, Russia, Israel, Palestine and throughout a world that cries for peace. Pray for those who are displaced, those who search for family members, those who make decisions and those who attempt to provide aid. Lord, make us channels of your peace!
