Please pray for Norm Dyck, MCEC Mission Minister, as he travels internationally over the next few weeks. In the Philippines, he and Matt Tiessen from Leamington United Mennonite Church, will join Mennonite Church Canada Witness workers, Dann and Joji Pantoja and their team, to celebrate the completion of the Malipayon Peace Hub—a peace and reconciliation training and coffee processing centre. Norm will then join a Mennonite World Conference delegation in Thailand to meet with Bible Missionary Church (Mennonite) leaders from Myanmar. Pray for safety, peace and that God’s healing and hope would bring encouragement and inspiration.
Please pray for Glenda Ribey Rozomiak, pastor at Stirling Mennonite Church, and her family as they grieve the loss of Glenda’s father-in-law, Jack Rozomiak. Jack died on October 27, 2024. A celebration of life will be held at Bay Gardens Funeral Home, 947 Rymal Road East, Hamilton on Saturday, November 9th from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. For more information, please see Jack’s obituary.
Please pray for Stephen Kennedy, pastor at Avon Church, and his family as they grieve the loss of Stephen’s brother, Shawn Stewart. Shawn died on Thursday, October 31, 2024. Family and friends will be received for visitation at Fawcett Funeral Home – Collingwood Chapel on Wednesday November 6, 2024, from 6-8 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the Sixth Line Church at 11 a.m. on Thursday November 7, 2024, with a reception to follow. Please pray for Al Rempel, MCEC Regional Minister, and his wife, Brenda, as they grieve the recent passing of Al’s father, Henry Rempel, who died on November 5, 2024, just six weeks after the death of his wife. Pray for comfort and peace to surround Al, Brenda and their families during this time of profound loss and as Al and Brenda travel to Winnipeg.
Lord, we lift up all who are impacted by war around the world. Bring comfort to those who mourn, healing to those who suffer, and hope to those in despair. Surround the displaced with safety, provide strength to caregivers, and inspire leaders to pursue justice and peace. Let your peace take root in every nation, renewing hearts and guiding us toward reconciliation and an end to all violence.
