MCEC PRAYERS

Matthew Bailey-Dick will be installed at Wellesley Mennonite Church on October 6, 2024 as Pastor. Pray for Matthew and the congregation as they begin their ministry together. To share your words of encouragement and support with Matthew, you can reach him at matthew@wellesleymennonite.ca.

Pray for the MC Canada Joint Council as they meet this weekend in Winnipeg. Pray for this group of individuals from across Canada who care deeply about the church. Pray for Ben CasselsYoel Masyawong and Ann L. Schultz as they travel from and represent MCEC.

Hold in prayer the gathering of Indigenous Relations and Climate Action working group leaders from the 5 regional churches of MC Canada, including MCEC, gathering in Pinawa, MB from Oct. 4-6. The weekend will be a time to learn what each other are up to in the regions, develop shared goals and postures of engagement and build community around the ministries we hold in common towards the healing of relationships with Indigenous neighbours and creation.  Pray for Wendy Janzen and Sara DeWeerd who are attending on behalf of MCEC.

Continue to pray for areas in the world who cry out for peace. We grieve for all who have experienced the horrors of war and violence. May God bring comfort, healing, and justice to those suffering. Lord, have mercy on us and hear our prayers for peace and reconciliation in these troubled regions.
